Hi everyone, I’m new to the CQ12T. I am a voiceover working out of a home studio. When i boot MixPad, it shows me an image that is clearly the 18T. Is there only one version of MixPad for the 12T and 18T or did i miss something? I see no references anywhere that there are two versions or that this behavior is normal.
If you’re seeing 18T layout in the Mixpad app, you’re more than likely accidentally in the Demo mode, as that pretends to be an 18T.
Make sure you’re connecting to the right device from the app home screen.
I did. I selected the 12T from that menu. Apparently there is only one version of MixPad. Maybe in a future update there will be two versions or at least the possibility of choosing.
Just to confirm…are you first connected to the mixers WIFI broadcast either the internal WIFI or an external router that is connected to the ethernet port on the mixer?
Hi mikec, my unit is a 12T so no wifi. I’m connected to my 12T via an ethernet cable through an ethernet switch to my computer. There are no other quirks, glitches, drops, stutters, lags, or gremlins, it’s smooth and fast. I do notice though that when I’m on the same page between my laptop and the 12T, any changes I make remotely immediately show up on the 12T…but when i change pages remotely, the screen of the 12T doesn’t follow. Maybe that qualifies as a suggested improvement
That is normal, you can change functions on other pages remotely but the screen on the mixer does not follow the menu / page changes that are done remotely. That can be handy, for instance one person could be doing the main mix and someone else could be mixing monitors.
