Good evening all
As an audio interface, my cq18 won’t behave as any other interface I know, and I don’t know what I am missing.
I’m using sort of a DAW in my iPad, and I’m connected to the CQ. Now I would expect that I can connect any instrument, have it in the daw and process it and then route it to the mains. But it doesn’t work – the signal is visible in the DAW, is recordable, but it bypasses everything in the DAW, like direct monitored.
What I would need is what I always did with my RMEUCX, that all direct signal is muted, I can route every input to the DAW, process itand give it out to multiple separate channels again. Is the CQ just not able to do that indeed or am I missing something?
I hope I was being clear enough : )))
Thanks for any support

I assume you have read (and understood) the section in the manual identified as “Send Audio to and from a DAW”?
In particular the tapping points and mapping of audio mixer signals to and from the DAW?
Dave
Thank you for your response. And yes, I did read that chapter – after stumbling over that problem and in some sort of dazing disbelief : ))
So I can send to DAW and I can send from DAW to the mixer, but that’s two different things. An engineer I just met confirmed , that these devices are mixers with an audio interface – and not an audio interface with a mixer …
So now I can check Loopy pro, if I could tinker something using the monitoring options. Other than that, I’m afraid that this might’ve been a bad buy, compared to my use case.
thanks again for your support
