2x DX168+SQ6+SQ5 Gain sharing and channel inserts issues with 1.6

Hi All. Made a gig last Saturday with 2x DX168 connected to SQ5 monitor desk using the add slot SQ-Slink Card, all preamp shared to the FOH SQ6 via the built in Slink network from the SQ5. Both consoles and laa apps running 1.6 and we had very strange behaviours:

1- The showfile/scene used was previously configured so the DX168 were connected to the SQ5 using the built in Slink port. We installed the SQ-SLink card in that console and change the routings to the channel inputs but we lost all the gain settings as if the channel gain setting was not sent to the stagebox via the new SQ-SLink port. We had to redo all our gains!
2- We had some analogue inserts plugged onto the SQ5 rear XLR inputs (compressors outboards) and in the new setup, so inputs (comp return) did not have the correct input level value. We had no time to check but I bet that if physical input 2 was routed to a free channel, it would exhibit a 10 dB difference with input 1. No time to diag, we removed our insert.
3- When adjusting preamps gains from the Mon SQ5, the gain pot turned properly but the audio gain was not real time adjusted and was jumping from the old to the new gain position without following the pot travel.
4- Can someone tell us was is the exact sizes for the SQ port screw looks like this torx is NOT Metric. PLEASE USE METRIC!!!

Are these known issues?

Gain settings are related to the preamps. If you change the preamp, the gain will change too.

That is the intended behavior.
The main question is, why did you change the patching? There is no obvious reason for that.

???

We changed the patching because the DX were previously connected to the built in Slink port and for the gig we wanted to have the same mon console being gain master and the new SQ6 being slave.
Ok so what torx size are used for the add card and for the rest of the desk?

Use a Torx T8 tool for this.

Both can do the same. It doesn’t matter which connection is used for the DX.

Ok this is not what the official doc said. Good news
