Hello. I have a GLD-80 with an AR2412 connected to its dSnake port. If I want to add an AB168, can I connect that to the GLD’s expansion port, or does it have to go on the AR2412’s expansion port? Thank you.
No, you can only use the AR84 in the Surface Expansion port as it only allows for 8 inputs and 4 outputs.
Now, could you plug it in and use 8 of the 16 inputs and 4 of the 8 outputs? That, I don’t know.

We use 2 8x4’s which should give what you need. Note, we are using a gld112
The 16/8 works great connected to the expansion port on the 24/12. All 40 channels work with no drop outs. We use the 16/8 as a drop snake by the drums and for stage Left
