AES/EBU input/output card for slot B?

It would make connecting to a couple of other brands of personal monitor systems ie the Pro Co and Roland possible in the digital realm for the ilive T system rather than resorting to their analog inputs. Maybe there is some other way to get there that I don’t know about?

You can use M-MMO-A card with iDR-DOut expansion (https://www.idrseries.com/idr-d_in_out_front.asp) module. This will give you 4 pairs of AES outputs. Up to two such modules can be connected to M-MMA-A over CAT5 cables, giving you 8 AES/SPDIF/Optical outputs.

Just 8? There wouldn’t be a way to get 16 or more?

With M-MMO-A you can attach two IDR-Out/DOut devices giving you up to 16 channels. No more, unfortunately.

Another way is to use ADAT->AES converters with M-MMO-A card - this will give you up to 24 outputs (M-MMO-A has three ADAT out ports). Make sure the device you are willing to connect via AES/EBU is supporting native 48kHz operation.
