Clearly something is up with offline editor.
We are planning a minor system upgrade including a new FOH processor and being satisfied (for the most part) with the SQ-6 we started looking at the AHM-32.
Naturally before ordering I look at various forums and reviews and always check out the offline editor. It is useful for not only understanding how the unit will function in the space and if it fills our needs, but it becomes a useful tool for me to train junior technicians on the software before the unit arrives.
Which brings me to the problem: Download/install 1st day works fine start making presets and exploring the routing and various comp/eq gains structures etc.
I go to use it following day and can not log on to offline software I keep getting message "Unable to connect to Offline AHM-32 (invalid user name or password)".
Well which is it? invalid name or password? and why has this page appeared? Why is there no field to enter name and/or password?
I saw another user who had this issue and they said they had to uninstall and reinstall and remove all assoated files. I have seen on other forums people saying the software has issues.
So I try this, does not work. So I try it again this time rebooting after uninstall it doewsn’t work.
Then I try uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot still the same issue
then I try the whole process over again and then one more time for luck. Now I wonder is there hidden files I am not removing when I try removing files? If so where are they? What are they called? Or is it just faulty software?
It’s a work/venue computer win 11, up to date, all other software and programs working fine.
I’ve checked for updates for computer and software and am up to date but this software still glitches, which might cost a&h a sale, but worse…damage to reputation and the danger of making a satisfied customer into a disgruntled one. In a touring house that can be bad, as every technican talks.
Please do not respond with “uninstall and reinstall” that does not work, A&H take note it should people should feel comfortable knowing if they uninstall something it actually goes away.
