Allow n-1 access for CQ firmware

I’d like the mobile apps to be able to connect to n-1 version of the mixer firmware.

I had a situation last night where everyone in the band had auto-updated mobile apps on their phones/tablets, but the CQ-20 was still at the previous firmware version, so no-one could connect.

I had to do the CQ’s firmware update about 5 minutes before we were about to start our gig, so I was really concerned about doing it live there. It would have been great if the 1.2 apps would still connect to the 1.1.1 firmware - just omitting new functionality, obviously.

Do what the rest of us do, stop automatically updating your pads. Or do the mixer update as soon as it is released.
It has been the same since the inception of A&H digital mixers 20 years ago!

I get it, but that’s hard sometimes when it’s someone’s personal phone and not a band device.

I understand the point exactly, which is why I keep 2 old Tablets, one Android, and one iPad which have virtually zero market value, but only get exactly what I want on them, so only update each app as and when ready.
