# app updates

Hi,

Recently started using the SQ-7, I think the app on the IPAD is great but was just wondering if there would by anyway of adding the layer buttons onto the app also?

It’s good being able to scroll along and see all the inputs and on the right seeing the monitor selection but later buttons on the left of the screen would be great.

Hi @nibravesoul,

This is the reason for having 6 custom layers available on SQ-MixPad, as they can be used with the ‘Copy Desk Layer’ to quickly mirror the surface setup.  
Just go to the ‘Setup’ screen, select the custom layers on the left and then touch the ‘Copy Desk Layer’ button.
