There is an article explaining how to set “perfect” predelay, decay… parameters according to tempo https://reverb-calculator.com
Would be nice to have it in CQ
User flow:
The feature can be enabled/disabled in settings.
If enabled: users clicks “Tap tempo” button → Reverb and Delay parameters (predelay, decay etc.) are set automatically.
Hi. I’ve asked the A&H support for a way to control the tap tempo of delays by MIDI commands.
They gently provided a workaround that works, by linking a soft key button (that acts as a tap tempo button), and send MIDI commands to simulate the soft key press at the expected tempo.
This works, with sometimes lost triggers. I wrote a python script on my PC that gets the MIDI clock from the metronome, and sends the soft key press MIDI command to the mixer.
The limit is that I must use 1 soft key for each delay effect, and so, I’m limited to use only 2 delays while the 3rd button is used an emergency mute all.
Would be nice to have a “general tap tempo” feature and affect it to 1 single soft key to control all delays, and, at each indiviual delay FX, a parameter to set the actual delay value as a ratio of this general tap tempo.
… And of course, a dedicated MIDI CC command to control directly this general tap tempo.
