Is there a way to use the silver channel fader buttons used on the SQ & DLive console on the Avantis mixer instead of the black fader buttons?
The SQ and DLive fader buttons look so much more professional than the ones used on the Avantis. Imo

The Avantis faders react to a person’s touch. I am not sure if the material of the actual plastic fader is different than the SQ or DLive to allow for his functionality. My first reaction was that it probably isn’t different, but the more I thought about it, the more I think it likely is a little different. The system works by detecting miniscule differences in the energy/voltage levels that our body produces. While I don’t fully understand how it works, my guess is that plastic element of the fader is conductive enough to pass that voltage through to the actual mechanical fader mechanism where it is detected by the system. Therefore you should definitely test how different plastic faders changes this feature. It may be that changing the faders to something else will prevent the “touch” detection feature from working properly. Of course not every user wants or uses that feature, so it might not be a noticeable loss for some people even if swapping the plastic fader parts affects this functionality.
That being said, the plastic faders themselves are easy to pull off the physical faders motor/mechanism. They are not attached/anchored with anything other than friction. They are easy to remove and therefore they would be easy to swap with something else.
If you have access to a 3D printer, it would be relatively easy to print something up. In fact, I suspect there are plenty of existing designs/files to choose from already.
