Avantis show file monitor mixes missing

Today I came across a weird issue. The past couple weeks I’ve been building a newer show file. Storing changes in individual scenes and saving and overwriting the show file in [utility-memory]. Today I loaded a show file from February 1st to double check some routing. I loaded my current show file back up. When the show started, in quite a few scenes, one of 2 band members vox or instrument would be missing in the monitor mix.

I worried that maybe I forgot to reload the new show file and saved the old one over the new, but my processing on all the channels are the same. Only the Sends and DCA db changed. My scenes were all in the order I made them also.

Most of our show files have the same scenes. I wondered if recalling one show, and recalling another, if anything might change like routing etc… on my current file I tested this theory, and took guitar out of a wedge in one scene. Stores it, and overwrote the show file. I then loaded the older show file with the same scene, and the change was reflected. I then made another change in the same scene, stored it and overwrote the old show file. Loaded the new one, and the change didn’t carry over. Which is good, but I’m still at a loss.

Am I missing something with global safes and saving show files?

Is it possible that sometime since you started your new “show file” you actually reloaded the old show file at some point. With nearly everything being identical, it could easily go unnoticed. But the routing would have been reverted back to the old file and when you saved it under the new show file, you removed the “new routing” for good.

I know I have run into situations where I’ve accidentally done that.

EDIT - It could also be something as simple as not checking the “on” button for those sources on the musician’s monitor mix when the show file was originally created, or those sources were accidentally turned “off” at some point later in the show file creation by accident. It’s easy to make silly mistakes like this and you likely wouldn’t notice it until the actual event.

The one main thing I noticed with the old show file is the current scene list is slightly different. I would think that if it saved over the new show file, the current scene list would have changed too.

Tonight we went through a bunch of scenes, adjusting monitor mixes and storing them scene by scene. Half way through we noticed monitor mixes were carrying over to the next scene I would load.
The other day I globally safed routing in input and mixes. Also safed input patchbay on the “other” tab in global safes. I’m a dumpster fire moment I unsafed the routing and input patchbay.
After the show tonight I made changes to some monitor mixes in the scenes, and switching between different scenes, the changes I made are sticking.

This is where I’m at. Tomorrow I’ll adjust more in the mixes and keep storing. Bit I think it was possibly those global safes ( input and mixes routing, and input patchbay) that messed with my monitor mixes.
