So I’ve been told the ufx module for Avantis solo has been recalled, does anyone know why.
So I bought one and was waiting for it to be installed then I got an email saying it couldn’t be installed as the first catch have been recalled
Weird. Just looked on the A&H site as well to see if there was anything, but came up empty.
I see Thomann have the Solo with the UFX pre-installed but there is a 1-2 week lead time on it, so not too sure what might be going on.

We have been informed this morning that there has been a recall on the early upgrade cards that were shipped. Your card is in that first batch and we are awaiting more information. For the time being we are being told not to fit/ship any of these cards.
I appreciate you are keen to get this installed as soon as possible, at this stage though I would advise that we plan to upgrade your console after your busy season so that we can ensure that the upgrade is carried out thoroughly and the risk of any early product teething errors are avoided during your busy period.
I will have more information for you soon, but I can’t imagine we will see any substantial update on this until next week.
I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but in all transparency, I think it best to avoid any risk in this situation.

That’s email I got from the distributor, I’ve paid for it and was told it was with them so I just had to get it installed.
That is unfortunate. Fair play to them for being so transparent, and not just fobbing you off though.
Yes just would be nice to know what’s gone wrong, not sure if I should down grade the firmware as I got it ready for the install
I don’t believe there should be any issues running the latest firmware, regardless of whether you have the card installed or not. It should still give you access to the new features, just without the UFX, since UFX is not required for the update.
Hopefully I won’t encounter the issues that I’ve read on here
