I have an avantis trying to hook the me-1 monitor the slink already has dx stage boxes threw gigiace how do I get this to work or what card do I need to make it work.
From my understanding, there are basically two ways to connect a ME system to the Avantis. First, use the built in SLink port to connect to the ME system. If you need to use stage boxes along with the system, you’ll need to get an appropriate I/O card (ie a DX card or GigaAce card depending on what boxes you want to connect). In your case, since you are using DX boxes, you can utilize the cheaper DX I/O card to connect your stage boxes to the Avantis. The second method is to connect a GX4816 to the built in SLink port (or a GigaAce I/O card). The GX4816 has a ME port on it and you will connect the ME system to the GX4816 in this situation.
