can you use the qu 16 with other digtal stage boxes

I just purchased the qu 16 and i will be using it at some venues that have pre existing digital systems wired up.

  1. can I use other digital snakes and boxes that are not the AR84 or AR2412.
  2. what other non Allen and Heath products can be used with the qu 16.

(I have my own PA system but I do some walk-in gigs and at some venues is quite impracticable to re-setup a digital system for one show specially if they have one set up already)

In a nutshell, no. dSNAKE is a proprietary protocol, developed by A&H. The only digital standard it supports is its AES3 output on the rear of the surface. Beyond that, you’re looking at the analogue outputs, or doing something fancy with the USB if it’s applicable to your use case.

…Or you could buy an AR2412, and use the house tie ins.
