Cannot get input from Cq-20B via USB to Windows 10 / Audacity

Trying to record one track from my CQ-20B, using Audacity on Windows 10.

Audacity doesn’t yet support ASIO.

I can see the CQ-20B in the “Recording Devices” section of Audacity, I see the following options:

  • CQ12
  • CQ34
  • CQ45
  • CQ67

I’ve confirmed my input is going out the mains and the Output 1 channel.

I’ve tried toggling Sample rate to 48 and 96, no change

I’ve tried toggling Stream Mode both Stereo and Multitrack, no change.

For the Windows Host settings, I’ve tried both MME and Windows DirectSound, no change.

Can someone help me figure out why this isn’t working? The CQ-20B is detected by Windows, but I don’t think this is an Audacity problem, because if I try to simply view the incoming signal from the CQ-20B in the Windows sound settings, it detects no input.

I tried installing the Audacity built with ASIO support. I was able to record with the CQ-20B, but ASIO forces recording and playback device to be the same. Since I didn’t want to mess cabling my setup to run playback thru the CQ-20B, I just played my guide tracks on Audacity thru my Windows setup, recorded to SD card on the CQ-20B then manually moved the SD card track over to Windows.
