With the kind assistance of the community, I found how to change the channels’ monitor send tap points. The choices are:
Post Preamp = signal is affected only by the preamp gain.
Post Insert Return = signal is also affected by HPF, gate and insert.
Post EQ = signal is also affected by PEQ.
Post Delay = signal is affected by all channel processing including ms delay.
The problem now is that - according to the block diagram - if I want a monitor tap to be post EQ, it’s also post Insert, which is a big problem if the insert is a comp. The insert position needs to be changeable. Lesser consoles offer this.
Also, there needs to be taps that are post HPF and post Gate.
