Channel one has static in it when I turn the volume fader up even with nothing plugged into it.

No meters.its the only channel that does it. When I do plug an input into it the static is still there.

When I link channels 1 & 2 the static goes away.unlink comes back only in ch1.

When I try to adjust the gain on that ch 1 there is a quick pop thru the speakers no matter

If it’s up or down when turning the gain knob.

Any suggestions?

It is best to first try disabling the EQ and compressor on channel 1 by switching them to “Out.”
If your problem persists, save your current show to one or two USB sticks and then perform a factory reset, as described in the user guide.
If channel 1 still exhibits more noise than the others after doing this, it could indeed be a hardware issue, and you should contact A&H support.

Is your mixer still under warranty or not?
