The amount for characters per channel name is quite low. Being able to chose a smaller text size to add more characters would be nice.
Normally I get along well with the 6 characters. But sometimes it would be great to have 8 or even 10 characters.
And it would be even nicer if the character size would be adjusted by itself 
And an italic font, e.g. to be able to mark paired channels or something like that, would be a significant increase again
