hey yall,
I’m church tech leader and i was asking myself why are there no SQ module for companion?
Or are there IP-commands to control the SQ consoles?
Best regards

Hi @jitze
Presumably you are referring to the Bitfocus companion ‘server’ for the Elgato Stream Deck, and the modules that are available for mixers (including one for dLive) have all been created by users.
So it’s just because, to the best of my knowledge, nobody has made one yet!
It would be possible to create one for SQ that uses the SQ’s MIDI protocol ( https://www.allen-heath.com/media/SQ-MIDI-Protocol-Issue3.pdf ), or you could use the standard Stream Deck software to send messages to your SQ with something like Pack Sender in the same way as described here for dLive ( https://support.allen-heath.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/using-stream-deck-with-dlive ).
Keith.
SQ Module now available in v 2.2.0 as public beta thanks to Max Kiusso.

Works well from my limited testing.
There’s a thread on it on the Facebook SQ Users group here:

will try it as soon as possible… Thanks!
Updated yesterday with new features (always in beta version).
Hi — new user of an SQ-5 here. We attempted integration through Companion but we were having full board lockups every hour or so that resolved when we stopped sending MIDI signals through Companion. It also seems like the SQ module hasn’t been updated in quite some time.
Any notes on this? Are people successfully using Companion with their SQ systems? Are there things A&H could do to improve the third-party control?
