I did searches but couldn’t find a thread with clear, definitive answer on this. Please excuse me if this had been dealt with alreadY.
I’ve been using CQ-18T as an audio interface and also a live mixer.
Live mixing situation it seems to have no problem running PAs, but when used as an Audio interface, the input shown on Logic seems a lot lower, 15~18dB maybe.
I can boost everything up on the input gain of the CQ, but - is there any other ways to fix or adjust this in the setting?
Oh, and one more related question for Allen & Heath support, why is the gain set so low for the USB out in the first place, when compared to the live mixer on the fader screen?
If you search the forum you will find Keith explanation.
I understand their policy, still I find odd that I have to lower USB-in above 18 db to not blast the monitor/mains PA, and apply almost +20 db gain on USB-out in the PC/workstations.
