CQ Series change Soft Rotary color and MacOS control app?

Hello,

I’d like to request that the firmware for the CQ series be updated so that we have the ability to assign specific RBG colors for the soft rotaries’ lights (and soft keys for that matter).

I work for an organization that was looking for an AV solution that simplified their set up for events and meetings. The CQ18 was a no brainer given it’s touch screen and minimalist knob approach (which maybe I wouldn’t opt for in other cases). Non-AV people still find the whole thing intimidating and obtuse. I would love to make this device and their AV set up more accessible to them through the use of the Soft Rotary RBGs. It would be great if in the customization screen, we could set custom colors for the rotaries. Right now I have them all set to Main Fader for each individual channel, so they’re all just green. But Ch1 is for Mic 1 – Ch1 is labelled blue, Mic 1 has a blue sticker on it, and so does the mics wireless receiver. Would be so amazing… SO amazing if I could just say, “Blue light-up knob make blue mic go loud.”

I’d like to extend this suggestion to the larger navigation knob that typically lights yellow. Would be amazing if there was more customization for the response to this, so that that knob changed color to match the color label of the channel, rather than the color of the element highlight.

Would also love a MacOS control app… instead of one just for iPadOS – for those who want some remote control but don’t have an iPad!

Just a little more freedom for us as users to configure an experience that is more aligned with in-house processes. I’d appreciate it! Thank you!

P.S. Must say that otherwise… brilliant device. I’ve never been more in love with something that triggers all my red flags – minimal analog controls? Touch screen? Throw me off a building! I’d still prefer more analog controls, but this really does work. Would love to see a small add-on device that would allow for some more direct control for this device, because I just love it.
