CQ18 T can be controlled via Icon platform M+?

is it possible to control CQ18 T, via Icon Platform M+ controller? need help.

None of the A&H consoles support enough MIDI commands to make the Icon Platform M+ device work natively. In other words, you can’t simply plug the Icon Platform M+ into the CQ console and have it work. However, it is possible to use some sort of MIDI bridge between the console and the Icon Platform M+ to integrate the two devices together.

The easiest, cheapest, and most common way to do this is though the third party software “Mixing Station”. Mixing Station supports MIDI devices like the Icon Platform M+ and it also supports the CQ consoles, so you can use it to act as your “bridge” between the two systems. Still, using Mixing Station is a software solution that requires a computer or mobile device to run on and some interaction with the system to get it “up and running” each time you want to use it. It’s not bad by any stretch (and a lot of people actually like the Mixing Station GUI over the stock console software, so you might enjoy using Mixing Station even if you aren’t using the MIDI integration), but it is not truly “plug and play” either.

If you are looking for more of a “plug and play” result that doesn’t require any user interaction, you might look into a hardware MIDI controller like the “Bome Box”. This self contained hardware box can be programmed to act as the MIDI bridge between the CQ and the Icon Platform M+. Once that initial setup is completed, you can simply plug everything in and it will work each time. There is no software that needs to be loaded, or any user interfaces that needs to be interacted with before it will connect/work correctly.
