When playing back a set (eg. 1-1.5hrs), it is difficult to scroll through the (multi-)track recording to find a song mid set.
The circle on the playback position doesn’t handle in a way where you can drag your finger out for fine adjustment.
There is no FF scroll/seek either…
It would be great to be able to add cue points so we can easily playback a song from mid-set… even if we can add these cue points during the recording of the gig would be great.
At the moment, I copy all the files from the SQdrive into Reaper on my Mac, then playback (I add the cue points/markers in Reaper).
Don’t ask too much of your mixing panel. Putting the tracks in reaper for playback is a perfect way to do that.
I typically record to Reaper as one of my two multitrack recordings (the SQ being the other) and I have set up a bluetooth foot pedal to drop markers when I step on it during live recordings. The Reaper markers and written notes make for easy work later.
Can we just have a simple workflow (same as an EQ or trim for example): “touch the circular position marker (it should go yellow), then use the rotary knob to scroll”.
…rolling the finger over the screen 1mm is ridiculously painful…
Place your finger on the cursor, but don’t move it 1mm to the right or left - instead, move it slightly upwards first and then horizontally.
The further you move your finger away from the transport control, the more smoothly the cursor should follow your finger to the right or left.
