Is it possible to use the CQ18T as a DAW controllor?

Hi , i use my CQ18’s USB B to record to Cubasis on my ipad . Apart from time spent working out routing etc everything’s been great .
Interesting question and another area I’ve not explored, the midi transmission capabilities of the mixer itself.
As a Cubase user Steinberg already had a remote control app over WiFi for iPad but I’d guess that’s inoperable when you switch WiFi networks.
So why not connect the CQ to the computer via its network port and use the iPad to do the WiFi control to control Cubase switching at a distance.
That assumes you don’t need to switch both Cubase and the mixer functions when playing your role as a musician and not audio engineer lol.
If you only want to hit record when playing to capture the audio you could also use a foot switch to kick on the CQ record to multi stream to the mixers SD card then manually import the files to a preset Cubase template for speed.
So whilst not directly answering your question the above might prompt a few ideas / work arounds when trying to do both musician and audio engineer roles. Sometimes you need an extra pair of hands though.
