Denon sc6000m connection with SQ6

Hello. I have been searching the internet for answers for this question but with no luck. I want to connect coaxial digital outputs of player with SQ6 mixer. I understand that I need something in between like some Dante device. Can you help me to find optimal path to solve the question.

There are Dante converters, not really going to be inexpensive though.

And then you would need this card for the mixer.

Plus possible networking equipment.

Just discussing this with a producer I’m working with. Strange that the SQ has an assignable AES output but no way, in native configuration, to return a digital signal, neither 2-track nor 8-track, to the board.

Yes, Dante will solve that problem, and that is what we did, but it is an expensive, equipment intensive (even at its smallest scale) and the Dante system has a (fairly) steep learning curve. And, AFAIK, good luck finding a Dante card for the SQ at this time. :frowning:

D.

As just mentioned there are plenty of coax digital to AES converters but no way to take AES to an input on the SQ.

Something like these are not so bad…and very plug and play.

Thank you for replies. I understand. But it’s really strange that good digital mixer don’t have any digital inputs
