Love the desk! I have 3 of these.
I can not find anyway of getting a digital signal into ST 1/2/3 from Mac. PC will be the same.
Sure there are 32 outputs and 32 returns USB B streaming.
However No ST1/2/3 on a QU32.
I would sacrifice some channel returns to get this.

Neither can I, I have to sacrifice 3 pairs of inputs to achieve this,
but I believe this function IS available on QU16 & QU24 desks!
So a bigger desk has less flexibility
Yep
My thoughts exactly
QU24 has it over a QU32 in that regards
Its all about the number of USB channels I guess.
32 max!
(and yet these mixers can handle 40 channels of Ethernet)
As I said I would let go of some channels so long as I can get into ST1 2 & 3 on a QU32
I’s purely a function of the “one fader, one channel” approach (which is a major selling point).
I would have thought the option to bump some of the USB inputs to the Stereo feeds would be nice though. Maybe even to do Stereo before Mono (or have that as an option???)???
But the QU16 & 24 can do this, why not the QU32?
I accept that the internal soundcard may have a limit of 32 outputs
The ability to route 6 of the incoming USB channel to ST1,2&3 would leave the 32 input layer faders to be used as desired
At the moment, we have to send 6 of the usb input channels to 6 faders on the input layer then link them to give 3 stereo pairs.
This then only leaves 26 faders available on the input layer for mic/line inputs.
Just hope this is fixed in V1.7 software whenever that is released
Because there is a fixed 1:1 relationship between sources and channels.
That is a key feature of the QU series - the 24 and 16 can only do this because they run out of mono channels to assign the USB input to.
I wonder… https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/custom-layer-thread/page/2/#post-46164
Despite assurances from A&H tech support that this would be available in V1.7, V1.7 firmware still does not support USB inputs into ST1,2,3
Major let down after months of waiting
Months? You mentioned it yesterday. I doubt tech support would promise any form of new feature, anyway.
Think dsnake might be…
