Digital Mic split via Port A on IDR MixRack

Hello,

I’m curious if anyone has tried configuring a digital mic split via connecting to the ACE Port A (hard wired one on an IDR MixRack) on a monitor MixRack. I know this is how you’re supposed to wire for a dual-rack setup but for an FOH/monitor split I’m wondering if this will work or is now supported.

Hi Jason

No I am afraid this configuration is not currently supported. The only configuration where you can link 2 x mixracks together using Port A is Dual Rack (1x surface 2x mixrack)

The configuration that you are talking about will not work as there is not an option to sync the Audio clock from PortA on the mixrack recieving audio (Monitor Mixrack). There are also some audio routing limitations as PortA is primarily a dedicated Surface Audio/Control Link.

This configuration is already on the feature request list.
