FAQ @ the community

Hi all

would it be a good idea to collect a FAQ page or something similiar?
to make it useful it should be “sticky”

any thoughts?

Cheers Steffen

do’H!

yes, you’re right,
to avoid your future questions

@SteffenR

do’H! means I agreed with you

not sure what your second post meant about future questions
we should be so lucky that a faqs page answered everything

just a little bit of fun…

but the question stands…
anyone interested?

Sounds like a good idea, but wouldn’t it just be duplicating what’s here:

https://support.allen-heath.com/Knowledgebase/List/Index/201/qu-series

that could be the case

We would provide the information inside the community and could handle it more flexible
and the knowledge base is hard to find for new and unexperienced users

Well, if people are up for giving it a go, I’m happy to help.

It would probably need somebody with mod powers involved to remove incorrect, or irrelevant info though. Another forum I used set up a Wiki section, which worked reasonably well, but it did need keeping an eye on

that’s the main reason I’m asking before doing anything

AH should have been doing that already with an easy index with crossreference for ALL products and features

that so called knowledgebase is woefully incomplete

where is the info from their engineer that explained the design of all their compressors?
used to be posted but is now MIA

nothing should be deleted although it could be marked obsolete
there are times when that old info is needed

I recall our school library used to throw away datasheets to a VT handbook because the handbook said to do it
unfortunately many classes were still using the tubes on those sheets and no longer had them for reference
