Hello everyone,
You know when you’re on the IO Patch menu and you have an output that’s greyed out at the top row? Did any one have a tips to quickly find what it is patched to, instead of going through all the page and scrolling endlessly?
Hello everyone,
You know when you’re on the IO Patch menu and you have an output that’s greyed out at the top row? Did any one have a tips to quickly find what it is patched to, instead of going through all the page and scrolling endlessly?
Is your configuration largely ‘fixed’ or does it change on a regular basis?
Ours is largely fixed, so we have printed documentation we can refer to.
The other option is the [view] button to the left of the channel strip. If you press the [view] button twice (and hold the second press) it should display the output that channel is patched to. On our SQ7 it is a fairly quick operation to do that.

I think it’s the same on the SQ as the Avantis: tap the grayed out number that you’re talking about on the top of the IO page and you’ll get a popup telling you what is patched.
Hi daver2,
I’m working on SQs a lot. Mine and company owned ones. Sometimes you take the job from someone else for a day and don’t know what’s going on at a glance. Biggest issue is the tie lines because there is so many sources the output could be patched to, and you just see that it is patched to something but nothing tells you what exactly…
Gonna try this. Found a polarity switch there but I don’t remember if it’s showing the patch.
I’m not near our SQ to confirm, but I think my earlier comment was wrong about this based on what 6.8 in the SQ firmware reference guide says.
Flying our SQ7 at the moment.
Tapping on the grey number at the top of the I/O patch just results in a “go away” message…
It wants to display “controls”, but there are none to display.
