# Forum - annoying opening of links

Nowhere to put foreign issues really, so I’ll stick it here - hope that’s OK.
With my preferences set to “Open links in new tab”, or words to that effect, I’m finding that this forum opens links the same tab, which is a bit of a pain. All my other regular sites work as expected. I’ve tried this in Firefox, Chrome & Safari, with the same result each time.
Do other people find this? Have I ticked a box somewhere that I shouldn’t? I’ve looked for one, but can’t find it…

Hmm, I’m using the context menu to open links in new tabs/windows if required, not even aware that there’s sort of general settings.

That’s the workaround, but I often forget to use it, until a fraction of a second after I’ve clicked. ☹

I normally have a finger on Carl, which does the same job in this case.
