FX additions we need these!

We need more add ons - distortion/overdrive, pitch shift, classic pedal type octaver, envelope filter etc.
The SQ series could entirely replace guitar rigs for live shows if it had better and more versatile FX add ons.
With more and more IEM’s musicians are scaling back their rigs and FX pedals are next.

For certain shows I bring in my own outboard, as the choices in the SQ series are quite limited.
overall I like the console, after coming from an AVID house The SQ feels quite limited, but I do like it and glad our facility did not go B’ringer.

I do feel the lack of instrument friendly FX was an oversight and could be easily rectified.

Amp simulations and a looping/sampling feature, would be great too more like icing to the bread and butter of guitar type FX.

and also very muchly - a phase adjustment tool, I like the ‘Radial Phazer’ which allows one to adjust phase relations between 2 sources, very great with kick and double mic-ing instruments, but also can create weird intentional phase issues and cancellations for effect.

This post isn’t intended to take away from your feature request. It is a valid request. A&H absolutely wants user input and they do make some decisions based on what is most desired. Therefore your input (and input from others that might post on this thread) is wanted and appropriate.

That being said, I do want to make sure you understand how A&H typically handles plugins like this. Again, I’m not trying to suppress your ideas/desires, but I do want to help you set realistic expectations about how/when A&H might roll something like that out…

A&H seems to always brings plugins like this to their flagship lineup first (currently the DLive) and then slowly bring some (but not all) of those plugins down their lineup. This usually means that if a particular plugin isn’t available on the DLive, or the Avantis, it isn’t going to suddenly appear on the SQ. It will only potentially be available for the SQ after it has already been available on both the DLive and the Avantis.

Furthermore, just because a plugin is available on the DLive and Avantis doesn’t mean that A&H intends to bring it to the SQ. A&H is always going to reserve some features/functionality for their higher end systems. This means that Avantis is never going to have every plugin that the DLive has, and the SQ isn’t going to have every plugin that the Avantis has either.

Long story short, if you are looking to use those types of plugins on the SQ sooner rather than later, I suggest that you look to some of the external plugin options like Waves or Live Professor and integrate them into your existing setup. You can achieve everything you want today by utilizing these external systems.
