ground loop/GL2

Hello,

I have 2 GL2 mixers that connect (slave/master) via a computer ribbon. I intalled them in my church last weekend and found I have a buzz when the ribbon is attached. No buzz exists if the mixers are used alone. I have tried the ground lift switches in various combination on each of the the mixers to no avail. Do I have a problem with the ribbon? Any suggestions?

What you mean with ribbon?

Does the ribbon cable you’re using meet requirements for console interconnection? Have you also tried original A&H cable?
