On SQ what is the difference between an Aux and a group?
I know what the Aux is for and I use them for monitors and I know how to use the DCA’s but I’ve never touched the groups and would like to understand it better.

An audio group lets you apply over all processing to all the input channels assigned to that group, in that case you would un assign the input channels from the main mix. A group also has a dedicated output if you want to send that “group” of channels to a different sound system zone or recording, sometimes in that case you would not have the group assigned to the main mix and keep the input channels assigned to the main mix.
DCA’s are more or less a master remote control to the channels assigned to a DCA, no audio actually passes through a DCA channel.
Thank you that is what I thought but couldn’t find any documentation on it.
Works nicely when you want to put your drum kit mics in one submaster (group) and level balance the entire kit underneath your band or vocal channels. Also opens up options to EQ the kit together and compress or start playing with Dyn4 EQs or Multiband Compressors over the range of mics
