iLive Editor 1.61

How would I go about connecting the iLive editor to an idr10?

Do I plug in to a network port on the idr or do I use the esa port?

All my network addreses are 192.168.1.x etc.

Using Win 7 x64 and version 1.61 of the ilive editor.

I’m trying to do a computer to idr10 connection. No ilive surface.

Thank you all!!!

OK I got it sorted out…network port worked fine for me.

Wow, I just finished a two day festival just using an idr10 hooked to a computer. iLive editor ver. 1.61 was flawless and the system sounded pristine on a EV X-Array system for FOH.

I had a 24 inch screen which was big enough to cater for the Mix channels on the top half of the screen and the IP’s on the bottom half of the screen.

The new super strip came in handy also the new Soft key strips which I assigned 7 DCA mutes and 1 Tap delay.

In some ways I found the setup/configuration much faster on the software.

One question; Is it possible to hook up two computers to an IDR10. One for FOH and one for monitors???

Thank you.

I have had three computers running editor in the previous verion (v1.50) at one time, with a 144 surface. I don’t see why the surface would make that much of a difference in this case. However, this is the reply I recieved when I asked a similar question:

Yes it is possible to run 2 computers running Editor to an iLive system.

it is advised if you run multiple sessions of editor connected to an system that the computers at least match our recommended specification as this will effect how fast the system will run.

below is a link to the spec document

Hope this helps
