Is there a way for the monitor engineer (on the SQ app) to view a difference RTA source then the FOH engineer (on the console)?
The current situation is if the monitor engineer needs to view an aux mix RTA this changes the RTA source on the FOH console. We’ve tried different RTA setting (fixed ch, follow device, selected channel, PAFL settings, etc) & this does not seem to affect the ability to have an independent RTA source between the SQ app & the console.
To expand on what @nottooloud is saying - the SQ does have 2x RTA’s, but these are the Meters screen RTA and the channel RTA.
Both require processing, and all processing happens in the SQ itself, it’s just metering data (post processing) which is sent to the screen and apps.
So to clarify, the RTA is in the desk and you’re just viewing it on the app, meaning the only way you could both be seeing different RTA’s is if one person were looking at the meters screen RTA and the other was looking at the channel RTA.
