Im new to SQ just purchased SQ-6 and the SQrack. I’m very disappointed that you can not change between snake and local from the channel strip like I could with my 10+year old QU system. I lost my bragging rights with my Wing friends, A&H was so easy to patch. When you were looking for fast set up this was a fantastic feature, so I’m very disappointed and partially regretting my decision to switch from the QU.
Wow, that is a real problem… the patching matrix is to complicated…
More flexibility leads to a little more complexity.
And it even has presets. Press the lib button and choose… it is really fast.
In the legacy QU was a switch in the preamp section that switches the input socket to USB, local or S-Link. Very simple.
That’s on the board screen? but on the app for the SQrack, its not available.
i know its on the io patch. but I split the stage with a snake and while Im hooking up i could plug what ever to the snake would go right to the channel on the app and pick the source. I can do from the board if using but the SQrack i use the app and it was one step with the QU app.
Yes, unfortunately its not available on the SQ Mixpad App, but its possible with Mixing Station.
I would suggest that you open a support ticket using the official A&H website support page. I’m sure A&H is aware of the limitation with the SQ app, but it is always helpful to make these requests through the official support path in addition to posting on this community forum.
PS - give Mixing Station a try. I think you will find it much easier to use than the stock A&H app. It will well worth the small licensing fee for all the flexibility it brings to the table.
Its funny you say that. I had mix station on my pad from an old console and started playing with it today. I abandoned the app because the QU app was so good. Yes you are correct Mix station can do it so it looks like this will be the fix for me for now. Thanks again.
