is there a sound difference for stereo inputs vs XLR inputs ?

Hello,

Is there is a sound difference or quality difference between the “1/4 JACK stereo inputs” and the normal “XLR inputs” (for a MP3 or CD player) ?

Hi Rekal,

Technically there is a difference between the two inputs as the XLR inputs have a preamp, so line level signals will still go through the preamp circuitry. However, practically, both inputs are very transparent and it is unlikely you will hear a sonic difference between the two.
