For example, let’s say I want to set 3 Fixed filters and have 2 Live filters. Is there a way to do this?
So far what I’m finding is that I can set the number of fixed filters then enable Hold but that disables Live filters.
I can also set, for example, 3 Fixed filters then switch the filter setting to Live but now I have 13 Live filters when I only want 2.
I know how to configure the number of Fixed filters I want but how can I limit the number of Live filters it will have available once I switch the filter mode to Live?
I don’t always want 16 filters, sometimes I only want a couple of Fixed filters. But I also always want a couple of Live filters to catch the occasional stray squeal. I may be looking in the wrong place but I haven’t seen a way to do this.
BTW, I’m coming from a dBx AFS2 that has these options. I’m hoping the CQ18T has them too and I’m just not going to the right menu.
On the rare occasion that I have used this functionality, I typically fix the frequencies that the mixer locks down on with the eq and then filters in Live Mode. Honestly, I only use this as a short term way to find troublesome frequencies. There are rare occasions where I get late notice that someone needs a system so this is where I use this most. I have never seen a place to set the number of live and locked. This would be best answered by the A&H pro team.
I agree that being able to set the numbers of available fixed and live filters would be useful. I double as guitarist and sound engineer in our duo, so I don’t have hands free to make adjustments during songs. I’ve had the most success by allowing the FBA to find the 4-5 most troublesome frequencies with fixed filters and then switching to live filters with a fast release time. However, on occasion, I still forget to switch to ‘live’ mode, and the FBA then proceeds to find more and more fixed frequencies to chop until all the life is sucked out of the sound. Being able to set the number of fixed frequencies would remove this pitfall.
Thanks but that doesn’t answer my question. The video just explains how many filters there are and mentions that up to 12 can be set as fixed filters and if you want to, you can set all 16 as live filters.
Let’s say I want to have ONLY 3 fixed filters and ONLY 3 live filters. How would I do this?
If I initially set 3 fixed filters then set the mode to live, I now have 13 live filters when I only want 3.
