Live stream in tiktok, IG using USB-B connection

I am a new owner of a CQ18T. I am loving it till now. I want to use the CQ18T to live stream in various platform like tiktok, IG etc.
I have tried to go live in tiktok using mobile phone with the usb-B connection. When i have a guest they say that they get their sound back to them. Which i believe is a loopback function. I was trying to find if there is any loop back turn off function on the system But i was not able to find it. It might be the case of routing the signal. As i am very new to the mixer and signal routing things, Can i get some guidance how i can route it so that there is no loop back.
Thank you very much.

If your guest is sitting next to you, that wouldn’t be a problem.
But if he is also a consumer of the stream, he needs a separate (aux) mix on his audio monitor (e.g. in-ear) that does not contain his own microphone signal.
This is also called mix-minus.

Some pointers which might help:

  • Set the USB output mode to Stereo
  • Stereo link a pair of outputs and set this to Post-Fader
  • Set the Stereo LR out (the last stereo option in channel assignments in the CONFIG / USB screen) to this output
  • In the fader screen, select this output using the sends to button
  • Set all send levels to this output to 0dB EXCEPT the guest channel, presumably the return from the phone? keep that at -inf (off)

What is now being sent out to your phone is everything except the return from your phone, and any changes you make to the main LR output will be reflected in the post-fader output.
You can listen to the main LR output by not having any headphone button turned on, so you can still hear everything including the guest/phone.

This does rely on the fact that your guest is sending their own audio to the stream for viewers to hear, as of course it would be impossible to both send their audio to the stream for everyone to hear, but also not have them hear it if they’re listening to that same stream.

Thanks,
Keith.
