MacBook Pro Unable to Find CQ-18T

Hello,

I’m brand new to Allen and Heath and have minimal experience with digital consoles in general. I bought this mixer for live performance (small band) and recording using pro tools at home. My problem is when I connect to my MacBook (currently running Sequoia 15.3.1) the computer does not recognize it in sound preferences (therefore does not permit the CQ-18T to be selected as the playback engine). I have tried:
-Multiple OS (I recently upgraded to sequoia thinking it may help resolve things)
-Multiple USB cables
-Tested computer’s USB on other devices – seemingly working fine

I should mention that it did pop up under my sound preferences once. I wasn’t able to get it to come back.

I would love some assistance or feedback if any. I have contacted customer service so we will see what they have to say. Thank you in advance.

Have you checked the “permissions” in the MacOS? Apple generally blocks devices/software like this by default (unless it is Apple products and then they default to allowing those). It is very likely that the CQ device doesn’t have permission to send/receive audio from the MacOS.
