Mains in Mono

Hi all

Another “am I doing it right” question…

Our system is in mono. The console we are replacing only had outputs in LR so we had a separate box to sum it all to M before reaching the amplifiers. Now that we have the GLD I’d like to do away with that and run fully mono.

I know that I can use the LR+Msum template setup, but that leaves me with two useless output mixes (LR).

I know that I can also use a Matrix fed by the LR mix and output only in mono, but that again uses three output mixes when one would suffice.

Any ideas? Or as a ‘feature request’ can we have a mono-only ouput setup?

Does the GLD not have a Mono configuration for Main? The iLive does.

How about just setting up as a monitor configuration and naming one of the mixes “Mono” then make sure it is post fader and calling it good.

The GLD is so veratile that it really doesn’t matter which mix you use for mains or monitors.

Just keep all your pans in the center.If you have stereo FX, put them up the middle. You now have 2 mono busses off your L/R
