Ok, so I’m just investigating running ME traffic over differen mediums (Fiber, Wifi, backbones etc).
My question is…

Dante into MEU
Then ME1’s plugged into the MEU.
What layer is the traffic to the ME1’s running on?
Is it at the IP layer and is it routable?

Is it converted into dSnake or ACE or Aviom to the ME1 in this scenario?

Hi Millst,

ME-U outputs are always going to be dSNAKE and therefore Layer 2 Ethernet compliant.
All usual recommendations for dSNAKE / ACE apply when using third party devices such as a switch or medium converter.
