Working on a new showfile in Director for my Avantis. Anyone else get this weird glitch where the i/o patching is not aligned to the actual square?? Is it a software glitch or just me?

It is listed as a known issue in the firmware.

Perhaps one should be glad if it “only” affects the patch squares, rather than having text look like VGA resolution on an old CRT monitor. 😉

It is the latest version 2.02, but it has always been this way.

This problem cleared up for me on a Mac with V2.02. Was a problem in earlier versions. Perhaps OS or machine dependent?

Is it due to the screen resolution you are using? I know the scaling of the Director software has always been finicky. Some screen resolutions look perfect while others look terrible and even worse can cut off certain graphical elements so they don’t even appear on the screen!

I would recommend trying out a couple of different resolution options and/or screen scaling options to see if it makes a difference.

Currently on a Macbook Air 2025 running the latest macOS version and director version but still nothing. I tried different screen resolutions and still no luck

Most definitely. )
It is the - likely verrry exotic - resolution of 1920 x 1200.
And with an other exotic format - known as FullHD - it’s clearly still less clear (here as a PNG).

“Worse than terrible.” 🤣

Actually, it always surprises me when it don’t look that way on the Avantis (which also uses 1920 x 1080).
There must be something wrong there. 🥴
