Recently at shows, every so often, I lose control of the QU PAC for a few seconds when using my iPad. The iPad appears to be making changes but the mixer does not respond. This is NOT a network/Wi Fi problem as the iPad does not disconnect from the network. I have replaced my ethernet cables and even replaced my ethernet switch. Yesterday and today I have been testing everything at home and I cannot find what is causing this. Mixer and iPads are all on the same Firmware and this problem happens with all my iPads.
Been successfully remotely mixing on the QU Pac for 8 years …Any ideas??
Updated the firmware from 1.95 to 1.9 even though I’ve been running 1.95 for ages without issue. Gonna try it at tomorrow’s show - seems stable for now.
This may be entirely unrelated but I’ve had a sort of similar situation going on with an M32. I was using the very same router/iPad combo.
The solution then was to fix the IP address. That solved the M32 problem.
Because a lot of folks recommend to I since also use static IP addresses for my A&H rig although before that I rarely if ever experienced problems.
