Has anyone use the FOH/Monitor split set up with 2 GLD 80s? Any issues?
Plenty of people have been recording from Dante and playing back from Dante. If this works then a Dante FOH/MON split will work.

Yep - I have 2 GLD80 both with Dante card, plus have access to another 2 with Dante card as well - this functionality works fine.
Not that difficult to set up either once you setup your Dante controller correctly.
If you stick a gigabit switch between the the desks then you also can record to a DVS enabled machine.

Thanks the info. The video tutorial shows using an ACE card, is the Dante more reliable?
ACE is more the iLive setup, Go Dante, more options given you can route the protocol.

Both ACE and Dante are reliable and suitable for your application.
Dante is preferable for interconnection with third party devices and audio networking, and as Jonny pointed out, it allows direct recording into a computer via Cat5.
ACE is a more cost-effective solution for simple FoH/Monitor split, and easier to setup as it doesn’t require a computer software.
