Multitrack recording with USB

Hello,
I am unable to perform a multi-track USB recording, even though I am using a good SSD that works with my SQ5 and SQ5+ consoles.
I get an exclamation mark when I arm the tracks.
There are no issues with SD cards.

On CQ, you can only multitrack record to SD - the USB drive is only for stereo recording and playback.
Presumably you’re getting an exclamation mark either because you don’t have an SD card inserted at that point in time, or you’ve exceeded the maximum channel count for recording with your current settings.

Thanks for the quick reply; I understood once I saw the icons for the stereo/multitrack tabs.
Another question: how do I listen to the stereo recording of tracks 23 AND 24?

Head over to your BT/Bluetooth channel and so long as it’s a full channel, you can select the “preamp” section under Processing and then change the source from Bluetooth to SDHC/USB - it should say “sourced from channels 23/24” underneath.

There’s a little article showing the channel routing here: https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/31464715078929-CQ-USB-B-Routing
