Hi, I thought that the network status LED was on all the time when connected to WiFi. However, although it comes on at first, it goes off a little while later. is this correct?
The LEDs on network ports generally there to show when data is being transmitted/received. If there is no data passing on the port, generally it won’t be lit up. However it is normal for data to be passing nearly 100% of the time with most network devices so the LED appears to be blinking all of the time.
If very well could be that the CQ console doesn’t pass a lot of traffic when it’s not actively having levels/settings being changed on it.
Long story short, if it’s not affecting the performance of the device (ie you still have control with your tablet/phone) I don’t think I would worry about it. Clearly the LED hasn’t failed.
I found that somehow the LED had been switched off in settings. Maybe when the update to firmware 1.2.1 was installed?
Wow. I’m shocked that there is even a setting for that. I learned something new today.
That being said, I could imagine situations where a blinking network port might be distracting (dark room with an audience, etc) , so I guess it makes sense there is a setting to turn it off.
