Woo hoo! And the iPhone app?
iDR32 mixrack
Asus N61 Laptop (x2 wireless)
Sennheiser IEM (for PFL)
Dante card (soon!)
oh! found a wrong word!
at the editor:
mixer preferences-preferences-PEQ 20-20khz “Rnage” not Range…
by the way, what does that mean exactly? does that option spare cpu-sources?
the sidechain option is really great!
one question about that, the channels are related to the strips or the input sockets?
greetings from hamburg
Oh bummer, downloaded the updates but then read that there’s an issue with upgrading my iDR32 via editor only - sucks not having a surface or being close to anyone that does!!! I’ve emailed A&H, interested to see what the workaround is… so close, yet…

thanx to christian tepfer, he´s explained it for me:

Hello
Than you for the new 1.7 firmware/editor.
Please include the new MIDI specification in the Download section. The old one is still from feb.2010.
What seems to be a problem with making the linux version working with the MixRack only (or offline) ?
best regards, keep the good work!

I have just downloaded
iLive Editor 1.70-Setup.exe
and when I try to run on Windows 7 Pro 64bit, I get the error
quote:
failed to load library “/installkitvfs/lib/twapi.dll”: could not load file from temp location: couldn’t open
“C:UsersryanpAppDataLocalTempTCLEDF.tmp” no such file or directory
…
more junk here
…
I would have shared a screen grab but a bit hard to upload and link
This particular machine has not run previous version of editors
I just installed Java 4r21 tonight, before trying to install 1.70 editor
Will try from other machines with XP, running 1.61 ok
Cheers.

Hi Ryanp,
Probally best to give A&H Technical Support a call or an e-mail (https://allen-heath.helpserve.com). I’m sure they’d be able to help.
Cheers,
Andy H
Firmware upgrade to devices went fine
Install of editor 1.70 on XP Pro SP3 went well
Andy, thanks for link to the support site
Fortunately the only machine with W7 is my ‘work’ laptop
Hopefully the mac install is flawless!

I just got 1.7 running smoothly (installed via Win7Pro machine) - no hiccups installing the firmware (even though the dowload site warned of a potential issue with it due to a batch production error - thankfully mine wasn’t effected!!) & I’ve got Editor 1.7 running on Win7 Pro with no issues - I went through and did some serious tweaking to my general use show file and no issues so far…maybe try again?

V 1.70 is a MAJOR improvement. The 20-20 eq is a killer, release time in ms is great, preamp safe, etc. I even noticed faster behavior when switching processors.
Awesome job A&H! Keep listening to your customers.
Dante card and ipad app, WILL make this system unbeatable.
Andres.
Good release - 1.7 - but I can not understand why you made a Phaser when nobody was asking for it - many people were wishing an distortion effect and an pitcher - or an multiband compressor…
And a feature that was asked before - Delaytime (in the Delay FX) in BPM also.
Thanks.
I hadn’t noticed the release time - cool.

Ok, trying to install 1.7 on win vista laptop that had previous version 1.63 installed - keep getting error: ‘bad end of central directory record’
Any ideas?
Hi Jonathan
Please try re-downloading the package from the website and try again. This could be caused by a corrupt download.
If the problem persists please contact A&H Tehnical Support

Sam - thanks - working good now!
Another question - is there any way to set an aux send to pre-channel compressor?
Take care,

To Set an Aux send point first select the aux you wish to change - then press the routing button below the touchscreen - there will be a drop down box in the top right of the touchscreen which will allow you to change the send point of the selected Aux.

Hi Albin,
We have various DSP research projects underway. We take DSP/FX development very seriously. We only release algorithms or emulations once they are top notch.
The moo phaser emulation was ongoing research, which was ready for release. We wanted to model a particular phaser with offset control, 12 stage and that unique sound.
Suffice to say the phaser emulation relies on harmonic distortion techniques to get the sound right. So you know where our research efforts are going in the future.
And yes multiband compression, dynamic EQ and pitch shifting are also topics in our research programme.
cheers RobC
