Hi there, I’m hanging two shotgun microphones above two speakers at a desk in a small studio.
They are picking up echo and reverb, what is the best way to mitigate this problem inside the soundboard?

You’re not going to solve that in the board. I think your best bet is to deaden the room.

Maybe try different mic locations.
What does the room sound like own it’s own.
Human hearing is a funny thing, in a not so great room our brains
can focus on what we want to hear to a degree, but a room recording
made in that same room and then listening to that recording somewhere
else out of the context of that room it just sounds like a boomy, echo
filled recording.
