Where can I find a demonstration of the ULTRA FX effects so I can choose one?
The full pack is way too expensive for me.
I play a lot of live shows.
Have you tried the A&H product website? There is plenty of sound demos…
Rack Ultra FX demos can be found on the A&H website. However, Rack Ultra isn’t a la carte. You need to buy the SQ+ consoles in order to get Rack Ultra in an SQ, and at that point you have them all. Or of course you can add it on to Avantis, and all the latest dLive come with it as standard.
As far as I understand the A&H shop, you can indeed buy individual Ultra FX plugins for the SQ+.
I hope there will be a promotion soon.
I’m seeing this for the first time now. I’d have thought that it was the same as the other consoles where the card comes loaded with the plugins. They don’t actually mention the Ultra plugins are extra on the product page
SQ+ has four UFX slots but doesn’t come with any UFX addons installed.
You can purchase them from the shop as individual items or bundles: https://www.allen-heath.com/series/sq-plus/?post_type=product
Currently, we’re giving away the PlusPack (which contains all of the addons made for the original SQ mixers) for free if you register.
Some distribution partners around the world may be running promotions where you also receive some UFX addons as well.
Well, in reality, all the plug-ins are already installed in the consoles, waiting for their release codes.
I’d also be interested in seeing more demos. Perhaps an in-depth YouTube livestream comparing the various reverb plug-ins? I’m currently torn between Plate Designer, Spaces, and the Essentials Bundle. I mostly use reverb for vocals, snare, and acoustic guitar. In that regard, Plate Designer would be a good fit. However, it might be possible to create plate-style reverbs in Spaces as well; if so, Spaces would seem more versatile. Or would the Essentials plug-ins suffice for my needs? That would give me both plug-ins, though admittedly with more limited control options. I’m unsure about that because Essential Plate and Essential Spaces don’t allow you to set a specific decay time; only a general ‘size’ parameter. So, more demos would definitely be welcome!
